Work As Lead Developer for a US Startup. Would you love to work with a US-based startup building high-performance LAMP applications? Do you have strong English speaking skills? Do you love to learn new skills and expand your knowledge of new libraries, frameworks and coding languages? Are you able to manage basic LAMP servers well?

We are looking for a highly qualified lead developer to join our team of developers in Pakistan. This role is full time and will allow you to work in an environment where you can grow your skill set as we build new applications and expand into new markets. We have had an excellent relationship with our current lead developer and looking for someone who can step into the role and learn several complex systems while at the same time helping to define our future development direction with new applications and web properties. We value personal traits as much as coding skill and seek someone who is deeply loyal, honest and thoughtful.  

We worked with our last developer in a highly open and collaborative relationship for over four years. We hope to find the right relationship where we can work with you for even longer. Our focus is on the long term. The personal traits we are looking for include:

  The developer focused skills we are looking for include in order of priority:  

• LAMP development excellence having worked with complex applications
• CodeIgniter framework or other MVC framework expertise in PHP
• MySQL/MariaDB competence - including ability to create high performing complex DB queries
• Strong knowledge of proxies, cURL, and web scraping/crawling
• Familiarity with Git and managing repositories / version control
• Working knowledge of basic server admin especially with CentOS is helpful
• Familiarity working with project management tools (Slack, Trello)

  In addition we are looking for a lead developer who can:

• Work a minimum at least 2 hours of their day overlapping with USA Mountain Time (GMT -6/-7) working hours 8am - 5pm
• Has an excellent and consistent Internet connection able to easily manage video conference calls
• Has a computer able to handle local development of heavy load systems for local development and testing
