Job Description:

Area Coordinator

The Area Coordinator must ensure that all program designs and implementation and outputs in the area align with strategy, standards, and local laws. Other essential duties include the management of: Operations, Safety and Security, Human Resources, Financial Reporting, and Community Relations and representation.

1. Possesses strong organizational and Sales skills.

2. Possesses strong cross cultural communication skills, as well as written and verbal.

3. Experienced in cross-cultural team leadership.

4. Experienced in managing multiple programs and large diverse teams

5. Must be a humble team player6. Ability to be flexible and adaptable.

7. Understanding of local culture is essential.

8. Willingness to travel in and out of the field.

9. Willingness to stay in the field for extended periods.

10. Knowledge of computer systems and its applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

11. Ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle in rough road and extremely muddy conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support the coordination of project in Greater way in close communication with the Program Head (PH) and President.

2. Support the oversight of ongoing programs:

Support program team to address programmatic challenges

-Ensure each program is contributing a significant impact through monitoring and evaluation to ensure implementation of quality programming and accountability commitments and for ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.-Facilitate monitoring of the project staff, to review project progress, review beneficiary feedback, identify corrective actions required, and capture learning.

-Ensure project completion, filing and archiving procedures are implemented.

-Support the oversight and monitoring of staff operating in remote areas via email and SAT phone contact, and collaborate with relevant representatives on the ground to ensure that proper procedures and best practices are followed in project implementation

-Provide leadership to the project team, ensuring clarity over project plans and priorities, encouraging effective team work and inclusiveness, and building a team spirit through regular meetings and team events

3. Ensure program operations are functional

-Ensure accountable and efficient systems are in place

-Audit procurement systems, pricing, and inventory on a monthly basis

-In close collaboration with Project team, support in managing project budgets, in conjunction with the Finance Manager, Logistics Manager, and finance and logistics staff, ensuring project budgets are calendared, a procurement plan is drawn up, and assisting project staff in managing specific project budget lines, monitoring expenditure to budget and identify any corrective actions required.

-In conjunction with the Logistics staff, ensure logistics systems are in accordance systems and policies.

4. Serve as the security focal point:

- Responsible for security management for the project team in the designated area

-Update evacuation and contingency plans frequently

-Conduct regular security meetings with national staff ensuring staff are fully briefed/trained on the agreed security measures appropriate to the area, staff understand individual and collective responsibilities for safety and security and ensuring incidents are reported, critical learning is recorded and corrective actions taken

-Gather relevant information-Assess risk and, in coordination with the senior management team, determine areas of safe operation

-Enforce safety and security policies and procedures, and identify and resolve any gaps in security and safety protocols.

5. Manage Human Resources:

-Ensure staff morale is high-In conjunction with the staff, ensure local recruitment is consistent with HR recruitment policies,

-Ensure HR policies and procedures are understood by the project team and implemented.

-Track and approve leave time for staff that are directly managed-Conduct performance evaluations for staff that are directly managed

-Resolve staff disputes and disagreements

-Enforce disciplinary measures as necessary

6. Monitor financial risk, reporting,

-Approve funding requests and payments-Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure grant specific finance procedures are followed exactly

7. Strategic Project Management

-Lead on conducting assessments and the shaping of project proposals in new areas, in accordance with the Programme Strategy and in close communication with the Program Head (PH) and President.

-Support in development of project proposals-Participate in project evaluations to assess project impact and effective use of resources.

8. Facilitate good community relations by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with Religious leaders, Government officials, and non-government organizations:

-Attend relevant meetings

-Coordinate with Government, NGO’s to avoid overlap and identify programming gaps

-Establish normal protocols for assisting other NGO’s (in particular NGO’s) that may need support in order to implement programme

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s or Master degree With 3 to 4 years of related experience staff training

  • Program management experience
  • Field level management experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: Rs25,000.00 to Rs40,000.00 /month
