Horizon Technologies is looking for a CAD Manager for one of its partners in the US. The incumbent must be able to establish departmental standards for software, techniques, and tools to prepare technical drawings. Being a CAD manager, you will be required to coordinate with the CAD engineers to ensure stakeholder satisfaction with projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Plan, organize and manage work plans of the CAD project team.
• Manage project budget, resource identification, and schedule for the CAD team.
• Provide guidance and direction to the CAD team to ensure operational and technical excellence.
• Develop, implement and monitor CAD design standards and procedures to meet customer needs.
• Manage CAD hardware and software systems for the design team.
• Work with Engineering Lead regarding technical issues, training, and other CAD system issues.
• Initiate and maintain contact with clients for clarification, coordination, and negotiation of critical issues.
• Identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies.
• Recommend best practices for solutions to meet customer business needs.
• Hire, train and supervise CAD users in core application skills and standards.
• Evaluate team members for their technical skills, performance, and productivity.
• Maintain documentation records of generated design deliverables.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
• Ensure project documentation and contracts are in compliance with the standards set forth by the Project Delivery Board.

Job Requirements

• 3 years plus experience in the relevant field
• Bachelors or equivalent degree in the desired field
• Experience in building architectures
• Fluency in spoken & verbal English is a must
• Preference will be given to the candidate who has San Francisco based experience
• Knowledge and working experience of Matterport are a huge plus.
