| Role Purpose
The ideal candidate is someone who has proven experience in designing and implementing web applications. Application includes highly concurrent and high traffic sites
Key Accountabilities:
- Work closely with the Design and Programming teams to define and deliver cutting edge online solutions and services
- Technical design and implementation of scalable web solutions
- Development of fully testable services
- Contribute to development backlog management and architectural review
- Identify security and privacy concerns and ensure they are addressed by the solutions offered
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Experience of full development cycle for a complex service architecture
- C# programming and debugging skills utilising the latest .NET technologies
- Website developed in ASP.NET Webforms or MVC
Entity Framework 4, 5 solid experience with code 1st or db 1st approaches
- Web development experience (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, JQuery)
- Service design and implementation in MVC or WebAPI
- Advocate for TDD and SOLID development methodologies
Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with MS SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2012
- Proactive, ambitious, enthusiastic and with great communication skills
- Proven ability in technical and architectural design
- Understanding of Agile/SCRUM discipline
- Ability to work in a creative lead organisation
- An appetite for the industry and staying abreast of latest developments and technologies
