We are seeking a detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring healthcare providers meet all necessary qualifications and comply with regulations to deliver quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Credential Verification

Review and authenticate credentials, qualifications, licenses, certifications, and other relevant documents submitted by individuals or organizations.

Compliance Assessment

Ensure individuals/organizations comply with all legal and regulatory requirements. This may involve checking if licenses are valid, certifications are up-to-date, and professionals meet the necessary educational or training standards.

Background Screening

Conduct background checks on individuals to identify any criminal records, disciplinary actions, or other negative factors that may affect their eligibility or reputation.

Database Management

Maintained comprehensive databases and updated information, tracking expiration dates of licenses or certifications, and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of data.

Accreditation and Standards

Play a role in assessing organizations against established accreditation standards/ industry-specific regulations.

Communication and Collaboration

• Work closely with providers and organizations to provide guidance on compliance.
• Qualifications- Knowledge of medical terminology, standards, and procedures
• Experience in a medical office setting or managed care environment is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in using credentialing software systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
