IRC works in partnership with local government and non-governmental organizations and currently works in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Baluchistan, and Sindh provinces.
About the Project:
The IRC is implementing a nutrition specific EU funded project in five districts of Sindh. The project serves the malnourished children and women through capacity building of local civil society organizations and improves nutrition service delivery through collaboration with the public health facilities. The community mobilization and advocacy initiatives are integral parts of the project for addressing malnutrition. The project is implemented in collaboration with local partners and coordinates with multiple public and other stakeholders.
Job Overview/Summary:
The Sr. Research and Reporting Officer will report to the Team Lead and work closely with the Program Team to plan, coordinate, and execute research activities, as well as document the best practices and lessons learned from the EU-funded nutrition project. The position will lead and support field research in collaboration with CSOs, consultants and universities, ensuring high-quality data collection, analysis, and knowledge synthesis. Additionally, the role will be responsible for compiling and reviewing research reports, developing presentations, and identifying strategic opportunities to disseminate IRC’s nutrition-related work to key stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities:
- Research Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate field research activities in collaboration with Project team, civil society organizations (CSOs) and academic institutions involved in the nutrition project.
- Support development of research tools, protocols, and ethical clearance documentation in line with research goals and best practices.
- Develop Terms of Reference (TORs) for planned research studies, evaluations, and knowledge products.
- Ensure quality data collection, field monitoring, and adherence to timelines for research deliverables.
- Synthesize findings and facilitate documentation of key lessons, success stories, and best practices emerging from project research initiatives.
- Reporting & Dissemination Responsibilities
- Compile, and produce high-quality research reports, briefs, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop engaging presentations and materials to support dissemination of research findings and nutrition program related insights.
- Identify and coordinate opportunities to present IRC’s nutrition research and project outcomes through relevant platforms, conferences, publications, and stakeholder forums.
- Maintain an organized repository of research outputs, reports, and dissemination materials for institutional knowledge sharing.

Job Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.

Work Experience: At least 5 year’s demonstrated experience in applied research and dissemination, preferably in nutrition, health, or community development sectors.
- Skills and Proficiencies:
- Proven skills in research design, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, report writing, and development of knowledge products.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Kobo/ODK) and MS- Office
- Excellent communication skills for synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks; validated self-initiative and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent Report writing, presentation skills.
- Ability to meet short turnaround times and excels in a high-paced work environment.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Adaptable and calm under pressure
Languages: Must be fluent in Urdu and English languages
